Welcome to a cozy corner of the internet where interacting with your passion is celebrated.

What do you engage with that sparks you, and brings you into the present?

Sculpting steel feels like I’m taking an active part in this moment. It’s a practice not in productivity, but in ritual.

I’m Jill Jacobs, an abstract metal sculptor based in Massachusetts. I bend, cut, and weld steel rod into abstract forms. In 2021, I converted my garage into a functional metalworking studio, where I sculpt today.

Substack is my preferred space to share updates on sculptures in progress, final photographs of my work, past/upcoming shows, and realizations I’ve had through the creation process.

Your paid membership will go toward studio maintenance and equipment upkeep.
