This piece will likely never see its final form.
It’s unwieldy in its size. Instead of empowering it feels restrictive.
Its form, so clean, and exacting, pure geometry without the balance of organic... Feels too corporate, designed, masculine even.
The chevron is too iconic, recognizable, fraught with its own connotations.
I misjudged scale. To see it through would bring it to 7 feet tall plus.
I still need to figure out how I’d transport things like this.
Chances are, if I see it through, I’d just let it rot in my back woods, watch how the metal corrodes through the seasons, as Bittersweet climbs its rigid lines up toward sunlight.
Perhaps I’ll let these panels sit and move on for now. My brain has been elsewhere anyhow.
Summer so far has felt a series of lessons learned.
